Hinduism interprets the Vedas as a text that provides a code to achieve freedom from the captives of the real world and attain eternal enlightenment by the act of performing one's duties. In this piece, these vedas are redirected to the digital realm, where a computer program becomes the agent that interprets the vedas using the code provided by the artist. Upon successful completion of its duties, the program exits the digital world and enters the physical world in the form of a printed pattern, where it is adorned with branching structures by hand using Indian ink. The transformed image “reincarnates” within the digital world in the form of a scanned image and takes new life within another program, which upon successful completion “eternalizes” the image on archival mat by burning it with laser technology.
